Hack The Pandemic
Mar 2020 - Jan 2022
Hack The Pandemic was created to help with a problem that I saw an easy solution for, PPE shortages in hospitals. I realized that there are people sitting at home with 3D printers and aren't using them for anything. that was the solution, to utilize the unused printers to create much needed medical supplies.
I launched the group on March 23rd 2020 and since then, have grown it to over 350 active makers and seven distribution and logistics partners.
Hack the Pandemic produced 3D Printed Face Shields, Cloth Face Masks, and Acrylic Intubation Boxes. At this point, I am reqorking the organisational structure to be able to respond to a wider variety of emergencies.
